On March 4th, 2023, the main cultural event “Rongmon-2023” starts off with the hoisting of the flag to signal the commencement of the cultural fest which was followed by the welcoming address from Dr. Abdul Baquee Ahmed (Principal, GIPS-Tezpur). The program was graced and inaugurated by the Chief Guest of the event, Dr. Pronabesh Chattopadhyay (Scientist-F, DRL-Tezpur), Guest of Honour, Prof. (Dr.) Thuleshwar Nath (Registrar, GCU, Assam), Dr. Dipal Baruah (Principal, GIMT-Tezpur), Mr. Bani Kanta Borah (Dean Academics, GIMT-Tezpur), and Mr. Uddhav Patangia (Convener of Rongmon-2023). The outstanding students from GIPS & GIMT-Tezpur showcased the cultural fest’s main draws with their dance and dazzling instrumental performances, as well as performances by the invited Bihu Dol, Nataxurjya. The week-long Sports Week cum Cultural Fest (Rongmon-2023) was concluded with a spectacular and remarkable performance from none other than Mr. Boron Bikash (Assamese Singer) and his team. The whole cultural fest (Rongmon-2023) was convened by Mr. Uddhav Patangia (Asst. Prof. GIPS-Tezpur).
