Mr. Hemanga Hazarika, Assistant Professor, Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science-Tezpur, has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences by Dibrugarh University for his thesis entitled “EXPLORATION OF NATURAL PRODUCTS IN COMBATING DIFFERENT INSECT VECTORS”, on 1st April 2022. He received DRDO Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), in 2016, and Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) award in 2018, and carried out his Ph.D. research work in Defence Research Laboratory (DRL), DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India, Tezpur, under the guidance of Dr. Pronobesh Chattopadhyay, Scientist “F”, DRL, Tezpur, Assam, & Dr. Md. Kamaruz Zaman, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh, Assam.
Mr. Ravi Kumar Rajan, Assistant Professor, Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science-Tezpur, has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences by “The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai” for his thesis entitled “PRE-CLINICAL EVALUATION OF NEUROPROTECTIVE EFFECTS OF TERPENES/TERPENOIDS AND STILBENOIDS IN ISCHEMIC DISEASE”, on 10th June 2022. He received Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) by the Department of Science and Technology, Delhi, in 2014, and carried out his Ph.D. research work at PSG College of Pharmacy, under the guidance of Dr. M. Ramanathan, Ph.D., DSc., who is the Principal of PSG College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Mr. Sanjeev Kalita, Assistant Librarian of GIPS-Tezpur has published three articles in the various Assamese Magazine namely Niyamiya Barta, Dainik Janambhumi and Assam Tribune. He has already written many articles related to current issues in different news papers and magazines. He has been awarded by many organisations for his contribution to society.
