Participation in REDIMAP -2021, organized by ADP college, Nagaon, Assam

A report on visit to REDIMAP-2021

A National Conference on” Recent Discoveries in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research and its sustainable Development in North East India”(REDIMAP-2021) was held at 20th and 21st January, 2022 organized by Department of Herbal Science and Technology, Anandaram Dhekial Phookon college, Nagaon, Assam sponsored by Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India.

A group of students along with teachers participated in the conference from GIPS-Tezpur. Oral presentation presented by Taslima Jahan, Assistant professor, GIPS-Tezpur titled “Current Advances in the Use of Nano-Phytomedicine Mediated Drug Delivery for the Treatment of Coronary Artery Disease” and  Neha Agarwal, Assistant Professor,GIPS-Tezpur titled “Lesser known medicinal and pharmacological properties of Myristica fragrans (nutmeg) as well as its scope and challenges in cultivation in Assam as well as other north-eastern states”. Poster presented by Farak Ali, Assistant Professor, GIPS-Tezpur titled In-Silico Design and Synthesis of N-Propylamine Substituted 1,3,5-Triazine Derivatives as Anti-Alzheimer’s Agent” and Shahnaz Alom titled “Phytopharmacological Evaluation of Enydra fluctuans lour. with Reference to its Anti-Oxidant Potential”. Students from B.Pharm 3rd Semester Seemanta Nayan Das , Rinkita Roy, Eric Barla, Pranjit Baruah , Priyanka Sarmah  presented poster with titled “A Review on Plants Having Anti-Cancer Activity” and Harshadeep Seal titled “A review on herbal plants having antimicrobial activity”. Students from D.Pharm 1st year Nikusmita Das, Jesminara Ahmed , Dolly Kalita , Kaifur Rahman , Manyajyoti Boruah , Murchana Sarmah with titled “A Comprehensive Review on Ethnobotanical and Pharmacological uses of  Ancient Herb Tinospora Cordifolia” . Sidhanth Sarma and Madhujya Barua from D.Pharm 2nd year also attended the National conference from GIPS-Tezpur.
